We are exactly 6 weeks along:) we saw and HEARD the beautiful heartbeat:) Best. Day. Ever.

Our first appointment is less than a week away! I am so excited/nervous/scared. I just want everything to be fine and healthly. Hubs is coming with and possibly my mother too. I *think* i'll be around six weeks by then, but i'm not sure.

So far my boobs just hurt and I'm wearing a sports bra pretty much all the time. I'm hungry all the time too, which scares me because after losing 75bs i really dont want to gain it all back. However, i lost everything i ate today so who knows. yeah my first bout of the sickies hit today. I guess lil' brussel sprout hates the smell of trukey burgers being cooked.

I started my grad class today. I am sure the preggo hormones are raging because honestly compared to most of my undergrad this class will be a cake walk... but i got a little overwhelmed. It might have just been the act of being in class..AGAIN. I was enjoying the break from school.

Well we are just going crazy waiting for our first appointment. t-minus 12 days. I am so nervous! i just pray pray pray that everything is okay with our little Brussle Sprout!

I can't freakin believe it!

I am PREGNANT! after 2 years of infertility I have kicked PCOS's butt!

Is very early assuming my last period was indeed a real period. That would put me around 4 weeks. My first appointment is in 13 days! I am going nutso!

I wont lie, I've alread purchased a few things. just come cute clothes. After 2 years of looking at everything baby it was great to be able to buy something :)

So how did i kick PCOS's butt? well first off I lost 75lbs by following a very strict low carb diet. I also had ovarian drilling done august 3rd. My cycles have been regualr ever since. So thanks to the use of ovulation tests we're pregnant! I just hope everything is okay and when we go to the appointment we have good news.

YAY!

Baby talk

two words: Infertility sucks.

Yes Today I admit that I am suffering through infertility. two years of trying and no baby? yeah thats me. HOWEVER I am not going into this world of infertility quietly, oh no.. I will go in KICKING AND SCREAMING! I've lost 60lbs, i'm having ovarian drilling on monday and hubs and I picked out our baby names.. so yes I HAVE HOPE! take that infertility monster!

so yes I have having surgery on monday. should be painful but the doctor said he sees 90% of his patients get preggo after this surgery. God I would love that.

Like I said we came up with some baby names. It helps me cope to think about the future. Its amazing but we are 100% sure on our boy name now and ever since me made that decision I have so much hope. Its probably that combined with the hope from the surgery but man i just feel like its going to happen soon..

okay okay so you probably want to know the name huh? Well since no one i know in real life reads this blog then i guess I can share.

Blake Gilpin Ring

Yeah Gilpin may seem a little different but it is my gpas middle name. Trust me this is not the name i thought i would ever love but for some reason when my husband said it, I fell in love with it.

I must Admit, I haven't done much crafting since christmas. I would love to get some scrapbooking done, but my printer is out of ink and ink costs about 50 bucks for my printer. We don't have an extra $50 laying around anywhere so it will have to wait. I suppose I could make some layouts and leave the spots for the pictures, but I like putting it all together and using colors from the pictures in my pages. Plus, I got the cricut Emboser kit from www.amychomas.blogspot.com and I want to go buy some vellum and metal to try it on:) There are so many things I want to learn to do with my cricut! I just need some time to play with it, but I am so busy tho. I am very good as cutting cardstock with it, but I am discovering how much more I could do!

In other things, I am recovering nicely from surgery. Went back to work and everything. Not at work today due to snow, and its looking like a chance for another snow day tomorrow. One of the perks of teaching. I hope they cancel tomorrow, simply because I have a doctors appointment and The school I work at is about 20mins from my home and about 15min from the doctor's office. I would rather just have to go to the appointment in this snow.

Started classes again. A literary analysis class and a SPED course. urgh. only 4 terms left!

Thats about it. MY exciting life...not.

This year for Christmas I decided to do handmade gifts. I got my frames from Bed, Bath, and Beyond. I had Free gift cards from my employee award program and I went on Black Friday when everything was 20% off. I probably spent a total of 70 dollars for all 5 frames, paper, etc. Pretty good for 5 gifts this christmas. I used an array of cricut cartridges. I used Sans Serrif and Plantin School book for the fonts. I will list the other cartridges under each frame.

For Jayden's frame I used Sans seriff and New arrival for the butterflies. The paper is textured cardstock and the decorative paper is from hobby Lobby.

This was for my grandpartns. The deer came from animal Kingdom and the trees I found on my community. the font is plantin school book. I used the shadow option to make the brown outline for the letters.

This was for my uncles family. Again I used plantin School book for the letters with the shadow option. The trees again are from my community and the deer heads are from animal kingdom, which has the option of cutting the head only.

This was for my aunts family. I used sans seriff for the lettering and the bodies are a mix from everyday paper dolls and paper doll dress-up. I believe the dogs were also from everyday paper dolls.

This was for my family. This was tricky because there are eight kids in my family plus mom and dad. It still looks a little crowded to me, but my mom loved it:) The cheerleader and the football player not being the same height still kinda bugs me. Anyway the cheerleader I mad is NOT the one from everyday paper dolls. The cheerleader I made, I have made before the everyday paper dolls came out. I like it better then the one on every day paper dolls. The football player and the faces can be found on that cartridge.


This was for my in-laws. I again used the shadow feature on plantin school book to give the letter the yellow outline. The paper is paper studio paper i found at hobby lobby. I used home accents to create the swirl design on the corners. I used the shadow option for the first cut of yellow and then took fo shadow and used blackout for the cut in white.

I was really proud how these turned out. I am already looking for ideas for next years gifts. This was the first year I went completly homemade. Not only did I feel like my gifts were meaningful, I saved a lot of money. For next year I am thinking of stickign with the last name theme, but maybe some work with vinyl and glass. Was even thinking of candles with each small candle being a letter of their name? who knows!
